Service Expectations
On this page you can find some details of what to expect from sessions with Sharmayne.
This may help to guide if a therapeutic fit might be likely.

If you are seeking something outside of what Wonderfully Wired Psychology can offer, or just not feeling the fit (for whatever reason). You can find some alternative referral options in the Resources section.
Are we a good therapy fit...
Therapy works best when you feel comfortable with your therapist. It’s completely okay to explore what works best for you.
Evidence informs my work, it does not override lived experience, identity, or individual goals.
Therapy is eclectic, and client-lead. You decide on your therapy goals and will be supported to explore ways to reach these through collaboration and professional guidance.
Wonderfully Wired Psychology is best suited to neurodivergent adolescents and adults seeking affirming, respectful psychological support. I am usually a good fit for clients who value collaboration, autonomy, and strengths-based care, and may not be a good fit for those seeking compliance-based or behaviour-focused interventions. My approach prioritises safety, consent, and meaningful quality of life outcomes.

I offer flexible communication options, and sensory-aware, low-demand approaches to reduce barriers to support.
Sessions are adapted to individual needs, recognising differences in communication, processing, energy, and capacity, without expectation to mask or conform.
Telehealth only therapy
Sharmayne currently works from a home office offering telehealth only services for ongoing therapy.
Telehealth services may not be suitable for younger clients, however, parent-capacity building may be an alternative in some cases. Please feel free to reach out if you are unsure.
